Rage 2 Official Gameplay Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
The official gameplay trailer for Rage 2 has finally arrived, and it is everything we’ve been hoping for. Not unlike the first Rage, the sequel features intense first-person shooter action in an apocalyptic wasteland not unlike what was seen in the Mad Max video game, which is fitting given that Mad Max dev Avalanche Studios is behind the wheel, alongside id Software. Buckle your seatbelt and check out the Rage 2 trailer below:
Seen in the video, Rage 2 will feature multiple opposing factions and different environments, so we’ll thankfully get a break from the desert every now and then. The enemies range from colorful-haired punk wielding makeshift weaponry to massive, troll-like enemies, and the weaponry available to the player appears to be just as diverse. Here’s the official description of the gameplay trailer:
In RAGE 2, you’ll dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. You can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything. The game brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open world mayhem and id Software, gods of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage.
In the year 2185, humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule who remains with an iron fist. You are Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland. Robbed of your home and left for dead, you’ll tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling bloodthirsty gangs to find the tools and tech needed to take the fight to The Authority and crush their oppressive rule once and for all!”
While Rage 2 currently does not have an official release date, the game is expected to arrive in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
