Prince Of Persia VR Escape Room Experience Revealed By Ubisoft

It looks like the Prince of Persia franchise is about to jump into a new medium! After spawning multiple main-line games, spin-offs, and a film back in 2010, Prince of Persia is officially making its way to…escape rooms? Yes, escape rooms.

The folks over at Ubisoft have announced that Ubisoft Escape Games is setting up Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time VR escape rooms in over 300 locations across the world starting this Spring. The escape room requires 2-4 players for a co-op experience that kicks off with being summoned by the Empress of Time, Kaileena. Here’s the official description for the experience:

“Two, three or four players team up and work together to solve puzzles and find a way out of a reimagined Fortress of Time. In the story, players are summoned by Kaileena, the Empress of Time. They are asked to help her to stop the evil plans of a Magi who is attempting to restore the sands to the Hourglass of Time and create an army of Sand Monsters. To successfully escape the fortress, players must use cooperative teamwork and problem-solving skills to complete objectives, utilizing powers such as time control from the dagger of time.”

This is by no means a new Prince of Persia game (something I’ve been dearly missing since The Forgotten Sands), though at least this means that this an IP that Ubisoft is still very much willing to work with. Will that mean that we’ll get a new Prince of Persia game sometime in the near future? Nobody knows, unless you happen to have a spare Dagger of Time lying around.
