The new three-tiered version of PlayStation Plus is only a few months old at this point, but it has definitely made an impact on users of the Sony-branded service. While those satisfied with the base Essential tier can continue to get the PS Plus we all know and love, those who spring for the Extra and Premium tiers are met with even more monthly goodies in the form of an instant library of both downloadable and streamable games. With that in mind, October’s latest PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games have now been revealed.

As per a new post to the PS Blog, a total of 16 games are currently scheduled to join the PS Plus Game Catalog on October 18th. Accessible to both Extra and Premium members, the newly-patched GTA Vice City remaster leads the pack alongside a bundle of new favorites from the Dragon Quest and Assassin’s Creed series’, including the Ancient Greece-set Odyssey, which also happened to hit Xbox Game Pass recently. Other include the Bloober Team-developed The Medium as well as the anime-themed fighter Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker.

While also including these new PS Plus Extra games, the new announcement also detailed the next games coming to the Premium-only Classics game collection. Also joining the streaming-capable tier on October 18th, the remastered Yakuza collection is the arguable standout, bringing Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 to PS4 players. In addition to Ultra Street Fighter IV and Limbo, the PS3 also gets some love with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Everyday Shooter both getting added to the service on the same date.

There we have it. The PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for October definitely seem like a step up from the past few months’ selections and seeing the GTA Vice City remaster return is likely another surprise for fans in the midst of, just, so many GTA 6 leaks. PS Plus’ lower Essential tier had its free games lineup revealed earlier this month, with the likes of Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot now available to claim until October 2022 concludes.
