PlayStation 4 ‘Days Of Play’ Limited Edition Console Revealed (VIDEO)
Having announced they’ll be opting out of the celebrated E3 experience this year, Sony decided to grace gamers a month before the festivities with a bunch of announcements during their annual State of Play broadcast. Teasing information on the Final Fantasy VII Remake to come, a Monster Hunter World expansion, and so much more. Among those announcements is a brand new, limited edition “Days of Play” PlayStation 4 hitting retailers soon.
In 2018, Sony presented a limited-run design of the PS4, complete with a pop of bright blue, gold accented icons, and paired with a complementary Dualshock 4 Controller. This year, they’ll be bundling the DS4 and a minimalist console design for this year. Check out the highlight trailer:
As some might be keen to agree, keeping it simple and sleek is a safe bet. Instead of opting for a loud color like the electric blue of last year’s limited edition version, Sony decided to go for chic, steel grey. Despite the nature of special releases, this regular PlayStation 4 (not a Pro) comes with a 1 terabyte hard drive and a Dualshock 4 controller with coordinated design.
Sony hasn’t made an official announcement on the Limited Edition “Days of Play” PlayStation 4 on the price point or release date, but it will likely retail around the $300 – $350 ballpark this Summer.
