Pikachu Revealed As First Pokemon Funko Pop Figure
Earlier today, rumors began to circulate throughout the internet regarding an official line of Pokemon Funko Pop figures, with iconic mascot Pikachu leading the way. In a now deleted post over on Reddit, a Redditor revealed that he discovered a Pikachu Pop Figure at a Target in Columbus, Ohio, and that the figure was a Target exclusive. Now, Funko has officially confirmed that the Pikachu Pop figure is real, and will only be available at Target stores.

Confirmed by Funko, it is currently unknown whether this is a one-off, or if Funko plans on rolling out more Pokemon figures as time goes by. That said, a Pokemon Funko Pop line would likely be an absolute gold mine, so chances are collectors will be able to “catch ’em all,” or at least some of them, further down the line. Here’s the description of the figure from Funko:
Welcome to the wonderful world of Pokémon Pop!
Funko is proud to announce the first-ever Pokémon Pop!
This Target exclusive Pikachu Pop! is coming in July!
Don’t miss out on adding this iconic Electric-type Pokémon to your Pop! favorites!”
As mentioned above, the Pikachu Pop figure will be available at Target stores later this month, and should retail for $8.99. Hopefully more of the iconic starter Pokemon will be made into figures as well.
