Persona 5 Receives New Line Of Official Apparel
The popularity of the Persona RPG franchise is at an all-time high, thanks in no small part to its ongoing ‘Persona 5 the Animation’ anime series. That said, official merchandise for the series has been a bit of a rarity, at least until now. A new line of apparel for Persona 5 has been announced through online retailer Merchoid, with the themes echoing that of the Phantom Thieves from the series. Check out a few pieces of the new apparel line below:
The new apparel is certainly impressive, though it would have to be with a price tag of $66.99 for the sweatshirt (also available in Men’s) and $30.99 for the t-shirt on the right. There are some other available products as well, all of which can be seen here. The clothing is not yet available, and as such the company is currently taking a limited amount of pre-orders, with an estimated shipping window of this October.
Here’s the breakdown of Persona 5 for those interested:
“Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled high school students – the protagonist and a collection of compatriots he meets in the game’s story – who live dual lives as Phantom Thieves. They have the typically ordinary day-to-day of a Tokyo high schooler – attending class, after school activities and part-time jobs. But they also undertake fantastical adventures by using otherworldly powers to enter the hearts of people. Their power comes from the Persona, the Jungian concept of the “self.” The game’s heroes realize that society forces people to wear masks to protect their inner vulnerabilities, and by literally ripping off their protective masks and confronting their inner selves do the heroes awaken their inner power, and use it to strive to help those in need. Ultimately, the group of Phantom Thieves seeks to change their day-to-day world to match their perception and see through the masks modern-day society wears.”
