New Overwatch Comic ‘Wasted Land’ Reflects on the Day Roadhog and Junkrat Became a Team
The latest Overwatch web comic from Blizzard is here and it will totally make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Wasted Land focuses on the very beginning of Junkrat and Roadhog’s bromance, set in the not so majestic Junkertown. In the new web comic, fans get a chance to see the aforementioned “beatdown at the bar”, that Junkrat mentions in The Plan, and finally witness how the duo came to team up with each other.
As the new comic shows, Mako Rutledge aka Roadhog, is widely feared in Junkertown. He chooses to keep his words to himself and not speak very often, like the strong, silent type that he is. Roadhog ends up at a bar at the same time that Junkrat is being hassled by some bad looking dudes. He chooses to ignore the situation, even after Junkrat offers to split his treasure with him, until finally he decides to put those jerks in their place. After that, it’s happily ever after for those two and it ends with Roadhog thinking, “The world deserves him. Deserves both of us. And we’ll make sure they don’t forget it.”
