Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 Brings Operation Chimera And More – Full Breakdown

Operation Chimera

Rainbow Six will be going into its third year soon meaning new content is on the way. New Operators, maps, and more will be made available over time beginning with a new co-op event called Operation Chimera. Ubisoft has released a rough outline which hints at what’s on the horizon for the game.

Each of the four seasons in Year 3 of Rainbow Six Siege will include the release of 2 new Operators. The two operators of Operation Chimera are biohazard specialists from Russia and France fitting in with Season 1’s Quarantine theme. Rather than a new map, the game will introduce a new 3 person PvE game mode called Outbreak. Not much has been released about the mode but the new Operators will play a crucial part. Outbreak will only be available for the first 4 weeks of Season 1, be sure not to miss out. A full reveal of the season will be seen at the Six Invitational 2018.

Operation Chimera

The rest of Year 3 has just the essentials, the second season will feature more traditional content with an Italy map and the Italian GIS. The third season gets a little more interesting. Rather than a new map, this season will receive a rework of an existing map. While attempting to hold true to the essence of the map, the team at Ubisoft will make considerable changes to the levels design and art direction which will hopefully change the tactics and gameplay. The third season will feature operators from Scotland Yard in the UK and Delta Force of the US. The fourth season will be set in Morroco with operators from the Morrocan GIGR with another return to traditional content.

Rainbow Six Siege will soon be heading into its last season of Year 2 with Operation White Noise.  Are you excited for the upcoming year in Rainbow Six Siege?
