Obsidian To Reveal New RPG At The Game Awards, Could Be BioShock Related

Obsidian

Geoff Keighley recently revealed that at least ten new video games will be announced at next week’s The Game Awards. Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment is teasing a new title that will be unveiled at the event, and many are suspecting it is related to BioShock.

Speculation began when the studio sent out a tweet asking if anyone was “getting those ads” on the Obsidian website. Naturally, those curious clicked the link, which took them to Obsidian’s website. However, once arriving, a pop-up appeared and showed a countdown and said to “Stay tuned for a special message from Auntie Cleo’s.” After clicking “Skip,” the following image would show up:

Needless to say, the image is very BioShock-esque. Alternatively, the Obsidian website also features a different set of images that tease what is to come. These show that a message is inbound from Spacer’s Choice, and they also sport the BioShock-like look. Check them out below:

We have no idea what is going on, but we need it to be December 6th already. Is there a BioShock RPG inbound? There’s no denying that the images look to be from the beloved franchise, but what is on the way? Take-Two Interactive announced the creation of a “high-end indie label” last year, but it was also mentioned that Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarski, who worked on the first two Fallout games, were taking charge of an unannounced Obsidian RPG. Geoff Keighley himself sent out a tweet recently that basically confirms this to be the project.

Whatever is going on, all will be revealed next Thursday, December 6th at The Game Awards. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as we learn more, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
