No Man’s Sky Beyond Trailer Reveals Major Multiplayer Update (VIDEO)
After a highly disappointing release back in 2016, No Man’s Sky saw numerous updates and revisions hoping to get the game back on its feet. A major update in the form of No Man’s Sky NEXT debuted last year that truly brought new life into the title, adding in much needed features and fixes. Now the developers are hoping to continue building on the incredible turnaround success by bringing fans another new update called No Man’s Sky Beyond.
A recent post on the game’s official website reveals that the Beyond update will actually be a consolidation of three individual updates that the developers had planned for within the roadmap for the future of the game. The first of the components that make up this content is No Man’s Sky Online that aims to give players a “radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together.”
From the sounds of things, it seems the developers are looking to add in a few elements seen in many MMO elements though the game itself won’t become a full on MMO. As with NEXT, the No Man’s Sky Beyond update will be completely free of all subscriptions and microtransactions.
Whilst this brings people together like never before, and has many recognisable online elements, we don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO – it won’t require a subscription, won’t contain microtransactions, and will be free for all existing players.?”
Unfortunately there wasn’t any details revealed concerning the other two parts to the coming massive update though the developers did mention that there would be more information arriving when they felt comfortable in doing so.
No Man’s Sky is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with the Beyond content update hopefully arriving sometime this Summer. Are you excited to see where the title will go from here?
