Nioh 2 Footage Revealed Ahead of Closed Alpha (VIDEO)
The Nioh franchise runs in a similar vein to Dark Souls, Bloodbourne, or even Sekiro: shadows Die Twice with its hack and slash combat against dangerous foes. The developers of the title, Team Ninja, recently made a surprise reveal of a closed alpha for the sequel to the game that a few lucky PlayStation 4 players will be able to participate in soon. While most players looking to get into the closed Nioh 2 alpha will have to wait just a bit longer, it seems some have already gained access and are showing off a bit of the additions and improvements that the sequel has to offer.
A Twitch streamer by the name of cerealkillerzat was able to show off a bit of the game, including the new character creator, a feature that even includes the ability to alter what players’ Yokai form looks like. Another player by the name of DIOMED#BRO was also able to capture some footage as well and can be seen below. Of course, both videos also reveal a small peek at the locales players will be able to visit and combat that will be available in the game.
The closed alpha for the title is set to begin May 24th and will run through until June 6th.
