Nintendo Switch ‘SwitchCharge’ Adds Extra Battery Life, Improved Kickstand, And More (VIDEO)
The folks over at InDemand Design have created an impressive battery case for the Nintendo Switch called the SwitchCharge. Sitting pretty at 340% crowdfunded over on Indiegogo, the SwitchCharge offers some impressive gains for the Switch, providing up to 12 hours of battery life, mobile phone charging, an improved kickstand, and more. Check out the introduction video for the SwitchCharge below:
As seen in the above video, the SwitchCharge for the Nintendo Switch drastically improved the console’s battery life, while also offering greater accessibility on the go with its improved kickstand and 2 game card slots. A recent press release for the SwitchCharge shows off how well the extended battery does when playing some of the more popular titles on the console:
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 10 hours 40mins
- Mario Kart 8: 10 hours 45 mins
- Mario Odessey: 10 hours 55mins
- Splatoon 2: 10 hours 15mins
- Fortnite: 10 hours 35 mins
Here’s the breakdown of the SwitchCharge from the creator:
“The SwitchCharge was born out of our love for the Nintendo Switch. We play it everywhere, at home, at work, on the train and heck even in the bath! It’s an incredible console with equally great games.
Yet there’s a constant worry when using a Switch on the go and trying to play the games we love. If you’re taking a long flight, have a sizeable commute or simply want to explore Breath of the Wild for more than a couple hours at a time, then battery life is a worry. There’s also no getting around it, the kickstand for the Switch sucks and we’re not only ones to have these problems…
Therefore using our experience with bringing technology products to market we decided to create our own case. This case was designed with feedback from hundreds of Nintendo fans and we believe it is the best accessory available for the Nintendo Switch.”
Those interested in purchasing a SwitchCharge battery case can do so through the crowdfunding campaign site for $85.
