Nintendo E3 2018 Event Schedule Released, Including New Nintendo Direct Date
E3 2018 is less than two months away, and Nintendo Switch owners are eager to see more about the recently announced Super Smash Bros. game coming to the hybrid console. Nintendo has always had a big presence at the E3 conference every year, even in recent years when the company has ceased to make a live keynote presentation at the conference like the other big console companies. Now, we have more details about the planned Nintendo E3 2018 event schedule, and it is quite full of the usual fanfare that fans expect to see at the show.
Nintendo of America recently sent out the tweet seen below from their official Twitter account showing their big event lineup for this year’s E3. Nintendo already announced the Splatoon 2 World Championship tournament, which is now confirmed to kick off their festivities on June 11th from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm PT. The finals for the tournament will commence the following day, with a specific time to be announced later.
However, the combatants might not recover from the big Nintendo Direct airing earlier that day. The video presentation showcasing the big new Nintendo Switch games, including Super Smash Bros., will stream on the company’s social media accounts at 9:00 am on June 12th. Check out the tweet for yourself below:

Directly after the Splatoon 2 World Championship finals, the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 event will take place. Players invited by Nintendo themselves will be among the first to play the new game for all the world to see. Returning once more to E3 is the Nintendo Treehouse Live series, in which various Nintendo hosts will present the new and current Nintendo games alongside the games’ developers. These will be streamed as they occur from June 12th through the 14th.
There is certainly a lot to keep Nintendo fans busy during E3 2018. Hopefully each fan takes the proper precautions to make sure that their body is ready. Keep it tuned to DFTG as we get closer to this year’s E3, and for other gaming news going on right now, check out the following:
