New Nintendo Direct Rumored To Happen By Mid-September

Next Nintendo Direct

It has been quite some time since fans were treated to a full Nintendo Direct, with mini presentations and the like filling the void since then. That said, recent rumors point to a new one arriving with the next couple of weeks.

VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb recently stated in a podcast that they believe the next Nintendo Direct is set for August 28th, which is this upcoming Friday. However, Grubb has since then clarified a bit more on the topic, saying that we might be getting the Direct by mid-September at the latest.

After YouTuber Spawn Wave tweeted out their comments on Grubb’s prediction, Grubb retweeted it to clear things up a bit. They note how it is weird that the 28th is a Friday and they are not confident it will be a full Nintendo Direct, but instead something else. However, Grubb also mentions that fans should “expect a Direct equivalent by the middle of September.”

Of course, if the Big N has something in the works, they certainly haven’t said anything about yet, so keep the salt nearby in the event this doesn’t turn out to be correct. As always, temper those expectations. Even if there is a Nintendo Direct, which fans would surely be pleased about, we don’t know what will be part of the showcase. Are we going to get a look at the highly anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel? Will they be announcing something to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario? Only time will tell.

As it stands, we don’t know when the next Nintendo Direct will be, but we just might be getting one within the next few weeks. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
