Night In The Woods Available For Free Today Only
Another day brings with it yet another free game thanks to Epic Games’ ongoing ’15 days of free games’ campaign. Some of last week’s free titles include Metro 2033 Redux and Inside, with Epic Games flitting back and forth between triple A titles and underappreciated indie games. The latest title appears to be one of the latter, with Epic announcing that today’s freebie is Infinite Fall’s Night in the Woods.
Epic Games took to Twitter to make the official announcement, revealing that Night in the Woods is free to snag on the Epic Games Store now until Monday, December 28 at 11am ET. The game normally runs for $19.99, making this a pretty decent limited-time steal. Overall reception for the game is listed as “very positive” on Steam, so it’s certainly worth a few clicks.
Break stuff, play bass, hang out — Night in the Woods is FREE for 24 hours, starting now.
Claim it today & come back tomorrow, because 15 Days of Free Games is not over yet!https://t.co/JtPu04IG8o pic.twitter.com/LZ9mySDAly

Here’s the official breakdown of the game:
“College dropout Mae Borowski returns home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But things aren’t the same. Home seems different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are falling and the wind is growing colder. Strange things are happening as the light fades.
And there’s something in the woods.
NIGHT IN THE WOODS is an adventure game focused on exploration, story, and character, featuring dozens of characters to meet and lots to do across a lush, vibrant world. After a successful Kickstarter it’s being made by Infinite Fall, a teamup of Alec Holowka (Aquaria), Scott Benson (Late Night Work Club), and Bethany Hockenberry.”
Night in the Woods is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
