NieR Re[in]carnation Gets A New Trailer, Pre-Registration Now Available (VIDEO)
While Yoko Taro fans are undoubtedly chewing their way through the newly released NieR Replicant, yet another game in the popular series is set to debut soon. I am of course referring to NieR Re[in]carnation, which released in Japan earlier this year and is slated to arrive in the West within the next few months. In preparation of the mobile game’s Western release, Square Enix has released a brand new English trailer for the game while also announcing that pre-registration is open for both Android and iOS platforms.
Square Enix took to Youtube to release the latest English trailer for NieR Re[in]carnation. The trailer features the pod-but-actually-a-ghost companion ‘Mama’ providing some backstory on the beautiful yet empty areas the player runs through as the protagonist. Later on we are treated to more silver-haired characters gearing up for battle in the game’s turn-based combat system. Check out the new trailer below:
As for pre-registration, those looking forward to NieR Re[in]carnation can now pre-register via the Google Play Store or the App Store. Those that pre-register on the former platform may be randomly chosen to participate in a closed beta test that will take place prior to the game’s release. Square Enix is also giving away in-game currency based on how many users pre-register for the game. The ‘gems’ currency can be used on the title’s gacha system, so it’s good to gobble up as many free gems as possible.
Here’s the brief breakdown of NieR Re[in]carnation’s story, for those curious:
– Story / It is a place called The Cage.
A girl awakens on a cold stone floor.
She finds herself in an infinitely vast place filled with buildings that touch the very sky.
Guided by a mysterious creature who calls herself Mama, she begins to explore her new surroundings.
To reclaim what she has lost—and atone for her sins—she sets off on a journey through this place of unknown creation.
…A place known as The Cage.
NieR Re[in]carnation will be releasing later this year for Android and iOS.
