Next PS5 Event Rumored To Take Place By Mid-September

PlayStation 5 Console Design PS5

With the release of next-gen consoles only a few months away, some key information about each isn’t publicly known at this time. That said, we can expect to learn more about Sony and Microsoft’s plans in the coming weeks, and it looks like we might be getting a new PS5 event in the near future.

Industry insider Dusk Golem, also known as AestheticGamer, has accurately leaked many things in the past, and according to them, there will be a PS5 event arriving at some point in the first half of September, which is only a couple of weeks away. Reports in the past have claimed that an event focused on the PlayStation 5 would be arriving by the end of August, but as there are only a couple days left in the month, that is seeming more and more unlikely. One set for the first half of September, however, is always possible.

The rumor of a PS5 event coming next month was thrown in with a handful of other leaks from Dusk Golem, including Resident Evil 8 probably being great, RE4 maybe isn’t doing too well, Silent Hill is happening, and more. Needless to say, there is a lot being tossed around in the above tweet, but there is no way of knowing any of it is true, so it would be best to keep the salt nearby. In any event, we should be hearing something about most, if not all of things mentioned in the tweet at some point in the future.

As for the PlayStation 5, it is still on track for a holiday 2020 release, but we don’t know a specific date or price as of yet. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as we learn more about the PS5, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
