New World Closed Beta Coming Next Month (VIDEO)
Amazon released a new third-person shooter earlier this year called Crucible, and while the game hasn’t particularly well, it still shows promise. The second ambitious title that the publisher is working on is New World, an MMO that hopes to bring in some pretty impressive features like multi-stage siege gameplay, huge 100 player battles, and a unique a living world filled with things for players to explore and fight in both PvE and PvP environments. While the game is set to release later this year, a new trailer for the game has revealed its first batch of Closed Beta details.
A new trailer has arrived from the Summer of Gaming event showing off the combat that players can expect to see in the upcoming New World Closed Beta. There was no mention as to how much access players will have in the Beta, though at the very least they’ll be able to see how a majority of the mechanics of the game work. In order to get access to the upcoming beta, players will need to pre-order the game with either its standard edition set at $39.99 or the Deluxe Edition for $49.99. The Deluxe edition will also come with some exclusive digital goodies for players to use in-game such as a fist bump emote, a unique title, and more.
New World takes place on the Aeternum, the Eternal Isle, a dark land looking to destroy those who dare tread upon its ground. Featuring the ability to build and control strongholds, players will need to find ways to survive against threats both human and supernatural, whether that means going it alone or grouping up in a Company to help fend off threats. The game is set to arrive on August 25th for PC players through Steam and Amazon. Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming New World beta and more in the comments section below.
