New Tekken 7 Trailer Shows Players a Retro Recap of the Epic Mishima Saga (VIDEO)
Tekken 7 will be releasing soon and those who really know their stuff know that there is an intricate story to the game, especially beneath the surface. To catch everybody up, Bandai Namco has released a retro recap trailer detailing the Mishima Saga full of betrayal, family, and a lot of punching and kicking.
The video gives insight to a 20 year old blood feud within the Mishima Clan, which will be reaching its epic conclusion in the upcoming Tekken 7. This retro recap starts off with a father named Heihachi dropping his own son off of a cliff. The son, Kazuya, survives the fall which also gives him great power and a thirst for revenge. Later, Heihachi throws a fighting tournament called the King of the Iron Fist in which he and his son duke it out with Kazuya winning, ironically throwing his father off a cliff. He then becomes the owner of the Mishima Zaibatsu, a multinational conglomerate which includes multiple branches and is the sponsor for the King of the Iron Fist tournament.
These events from the first Tekken game sets up the rest of the trailer taking fans through to Tekken 3, which includes Heihachi returning and retaking his company, introduces the Devil Gene in Kazuya, and then later his son Jin who also has the gene. More retro recap trailers will be released detailing more of the story later. Keep an eye on DFTG to see the exciting story continue.
