New Injustice 2 Gameplay Video Shows off Supergirl’s Fighting Moves (VIDEO)

Supergirl fighting moves

When Injustice 2 was first announced, its reveal trailer included the introduction of Supergirl as a new playable character. However, we only got brief glimpses of the character’s moveset. Fans of the famous Kryptonian cousin no longer have to wait to learn more about her new moves, as IGN has a new video in which they describe and showcases the Supergirl fighting moves that we have been dying to see.

This video shows Supergirl squaring off against some of the game’s also confirmed characters, including Deadshot and Wonder Woman. While her moveset has many of the same abilities that her Kryptonian cousin Superman does, hers are balanced more to align with more speed and agility-focused strategies. While Superman favors brawling attacks, Supergirl’s combo moves that create multiple hits allows her to equate damage power to that of her bulkier cousin. Supergirl can employ this strategy with her Last Daughter of Krypton combo, which has a low strike in the middle which works best to start off a subsequent combo. She also has freeze breath like Superman which can be used from a short distance to freeze enemies in place. For long distances, Supergirl can use her Kryptonian force to launch tornadoes towards opponents to lift them in the air, or heat vision to send laser attacks their way.

Like the other fighters, Supergirl has her own unique finishing move, Asteroid Shower, which shows her flying her opponent out into space, around the sun, and then back to earth but not before also sending meteors crashing at them immediately after the impact. What do you guys think? Do you like the Supergirl fighting moves seen in this footage? What characters are you hoping to see in Injustice 2? Let us know in the comments below!
