New Final Fantasy VII Remake Trailer Revealed At TGA 2019 (VIDEO)
The Game Awards 2019 is already off to an exciting start, with the turquoise-clad announcer revealing a few of the winners from the preceding round of voting during the ceremony’s pre-show. Along with the voting results, the folks over at Square Enix unleashed a brand new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake featuring a blend of new and old footage.
Square Enix revealed a new trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake during the pre-show for The Game Awards 2019. While many (like myself) were hoping to catch a glimpse of Red XIII, the trailer still didn’t disappoint, showing off new conversational clips between Cloud and Tifa, Cloud and Jesse, and plenty more. Check it out below:
In related news, Final Fantasy VII Remake – once thought to be a locked-in PS4 exclusive – was recently confirmed to actually be a timed exclusive, with the title arriving for PS4 on March 3, 2020 and leaving its period of exclusivity exactly one year after release. This reveal came by way of a recent Tweet by Wario64, who revealed a look at the updated box art for the game that shows off a “play it first on PS4” logo.
Timed exclusivity aside, it is still unknown what other consoles the Final Fantasy VII Remake will come to, though chances are it will at some point be available on both PC and Xbox One, as well as next-gen consoles. Here’s hoping the game lives up to the hype when it officially releases on March 3, 2020 for PlayStation 4.
