Netflix’s The Witcher Showrunner Teases “Huge” Third Season
For the second time now, Netflix’s The Witcher series has swept in and kept the darkness at bay with some riveting television. Alas, now that the credits have rolled on the final episode, fans are once again left hungry for more as they await the third return of Henry Cavill and the rest of the star-studded cast. While viewers likely have some inkling of what to expect from the series’ next outing, The Witcher showrunner has revealed that season 3 is going to be, well, “huge.”
Netflix’s The Witcher series showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich recently took to social media to interact with fans of the popular show. One such interaction involved her responding to a fan asking if season 3 will have a bigger budget, which would make sense given the overall direction of the show and what parts of the book series are expected to be adapted next. Hissrich skirts the money-related question, though she does state rather vaguely that season 3 will be huge.
Money aside: S3 is huge.

One would be forgiven for thinking that The Witcher showrunner is simply referring to the episode count of season 3 given the lack of context. In truth she is likely referring to the overall scope of season 3 and what to expect, which lines up with how things left off for Geralt of Rivia and his allies. We’ll find out just how “huge” season 3 will be when the series returns, with filming set to resume later this year.
The first two seasons of The Witcher series are now available on Netflix.
