An all-new month is upon us and the next thirty days is bringing a new slate of selections for Netflix April 2018. Even though there are still some anticipated additions left to happen in March, there’s plenty to ignite new hype over the next coming weeks. Among the biggest highlights hitting the streaming service include the heartwarming animation The Iron Giant, the epic sci-fi Lost in Space reboot, and the cartoon goofiness of Despicable Me 3.

The first of Netflix April 2018 brings the usual avalanche of older favorites, which includes the martial arts madness of Mortal Kombat, a  swashbuckling adventure in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and the hyper-stylish crime film Sin City. A number of new content also finds its way with the biographical documentary Bill Nye: Science Guy and a few Netflix Originals in the form of Adam Sandler comedy The Week Of and wacky new anime series Aggretsuko.

These exciting additions make the titles leaving Netflix April 2018 all the more upsetting. While TV series’ are safe this time around, quite a few popular films are headed off the service, including classics such as Caddyshack, The Shawshank Redemption, and the Tim Burton Batman films. Other more modern favorites such as the magician thriller The Prestige, the unique vampire film 30 Days of Night, and ambiguous street art chronicle Exit through the Gift Shop are also on the way out.

In the last month we received new insight into The Witcher adaptation being developed for Netflix, with confirmation of characters to appear in the upcoming series and exciting interest from Star Wars actor Mark Hamill.
