NBA Live 18 Announced With Reveal Trailer, Demo Arriving in August (VIDEO)

NBA Live 18

It wasn’t all about soccer during day one of Electronic Arts’ EA PLAY 2017 presentation. The company also announced a return to its basketball franchise, with a brand new reveal trailer for NBA Live 18.  In the latest iteration of the NBA Live series, EA is wrapping up the basketball gaming essentials into a brand new package, this time with a bigger focus on personalization and customization. Check out the trailer below to see the game in action below, as well as a sneak peak at how LeBron James looks in-game:

Alluded to in the reveal trailer is a new feature coming to the NBA Live series called “The One”. The new mode adds some RPG flavor to the game, as it puts players in control of their own character that can be customized via point allocating as the player improves. The customization doesn’t end there, though. According to EA, characters in this mode have a wide variety of customizable options that will truly set your player apart from the others, including tattoos, hairstyles, gear, and even signature abilities. Here’s what’s in store:

This is how you play NBA LIVE 18! An all-new and dynamic career journey. Create your individual player identity and become a legend in The League and The Streets. Master your selected role and play style on the court along with unique signature abilities, traits, and gear. Level up your player as you drive to become an icon. Every choice you make defines your rise to glory.”

Alongside the typical standard games between teams, NBA Live 18 brings street ball back to the franchise with teams of 5 being pitted against each other on real-life “historic courts like Venice Beach”. You will be able to check NBA Live 18 out when a demo of “The One” mode arrives sometime this August, with any progress made carrying over to the full game.
