Star Wars Battlefront 2 Free DLC Will Include a Couple Characters from The Force Awakens
It has been quite the day for EA and its upcoming sequel to the 2015 game Star Wars Battlefront. Fans have learned about everything from the beta being announced all the way to the Assault on Theed live gameplay demo that was shown during the EA Play event at E3. The publisher’s press conference kicked things off for the gigantic expo, and it seems that it will only continue to get better. To keep this train rolling, it has also been revealed that a certain couple of characters from a particular Episode VII will be included in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 free DLC.
During their press conference, EA issued a press release about the direction they seem to be taking with their titles, mainly focusing on how they want those who play to become part of a “constantly growing” world. They want to achieve this through “themed seasons” of free DLC. “All players will have access to these free content drops that will include a mix of new locations, characters, vehicles, modes, weapons, star cards, and more. Players will also be able to participate in regular live events and challenges that will come with their own special rewards.” But who will the mystery characters be in the first installment of Battlefront 2 free DLC? Well, check them out below:
Your eyes do not deceive you – that is Finn and Captain Phasma from The Force Awakens, and they will be included in the first round of Battlefront 2 free DLC. It was also revealed that the initial set of free goods will include Crait, which was seen in the trailer for The Last Jedi, as well as a space map set over D’Qar. This first set is expected to arrive in December, while Star Wars Battlefront 2 will reach players on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 17. That is, of course, if you don’t get your hands on the beta.
What say you, gamers? Excited to see Finn and Captain Phasma making their way to the Star Wars Battlefront 2 free DLC? Who else are you hoping to see in the upcoming title?
