My Hero Academia Live-Action Stage Play Details Revealed

Despite the temporary lull between anime seasons, hype for My Hero Academia continues to build thanks in no small part to the recent reveal that Izuku ‘Deku’ Midoriya will be joining the roster of Jump Force. Now, it appears that the popular anime is also getting adapted into a live-action stage show called My Hero Academia: The “Ultra” Stage. The name certainly works!

The folks over at Crunchyroll recently revealed the exciting news, while also showing off the full poster for the live-action show. Seen below, the poster features all of the beloved characters from the anime (even you, Mineta) poised and ready for battle. Check it out:

Here’s the description of My Hereo Academia from the wiki:

“The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers in a world where they are the norm, but who still dreams of becoming a superhero himself, and is scouted by the world’s greatest hero who shares his powers with Izuku after recognizing his value and enrolls him in a high school for heroes in training.”

My Hero Academia: The “Ultra Stage” will debut in Japan on April 12, 2019. The official website for the show can be found right here.
