New Multiplayer Marvel Mobile Game Officially Announced

Marvel Mobile Game

Now that the Walt Disney Company acquisition of Marvel Entertainment is nearing a decade since the agreement began, the now parent company is having a greater ability to safely start new Marvel video game projects across all levels of the gaming industry. Marvel has a variety of console games in the works, and the first major Marvel VR game was also recently announced. The Disney-Marvel acquisition also occurred just as the mobile gaming market started to grow, which allowed for Disney to oversee that branch of Marvel game projects. Now, a new Marvel mobile game has been announced and may just leap that part of their gaming world forward.

As recently reported on VentureBeat, FoxNext Games has announced that their newly acquired Aftershock game studio will make a new mobile game in partnership with Marvel Entertainment. The game will be a story-driven action-RPG that will feature many favorite Marvel heroes and villains. This project will also reportedly be a multiplayer experience that will allow players face off against other players from all around the world.

At this point, there are not many other details that have been revealed about this game, other than the involved parties hoping to convey the size of this new venture. As Marvel’s senior VP of games and innovation Jay Ong has stated, ““It’s shaping up to be one of our biggest and boldest projects in our mobile portfolio, and we know it will exceed our fans’ expectations.” It sure sounds like this new game might reach a new height in mobile gaming for Marvel. Hopefully it is as Incredible as the Hulk himself. What do you guys think about this new Marvel mobile game announcement? Let us know in the comments below!
