Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot Reveals New Logo (VIDEO)
After numerous years caught in the netherrealm of development, the Mortal Kombat movie reboot has finally made it to production. The adaptation has attracted quite an exciting cast, with klassic MK inclusions like Sonya Blade, Sub Zero, and Scorpion all joining the deadly tournament over the last few months. As the film recently started filming, an all-new look at the Mortal Kombat movie has now been revealed with the unveiling of an updated official logo.
Shown off over social media, actor Lewis Tan celebrated the commencement of production with a photograph of a slate board, it depicting the film’s title as well as an updated version of the series’ iconic dragon logo. While not looking 100% like the symbol that fans are accustomed to, the dragon nonetheless returns with a more modernized design that vaguely resembles the red world serpent logo from the new God of War. Check it out below.

The Mortal Kombat dragon has been associated with the fighting franchise as early as the first entry, with nearly every game, movie, and spin-off content displaying the reptile’s image. It’s currently unknown whether this new Mortal Kombat movie logo will last until release or is simply a placeholder, but it can’t be said that this one isn’t appropriately stylish. One way or another, the new logo will have a lot to live up to, the original 1995 MK movie having showcased its own logo alongside a barrage of fireballs and a particularly glorious music track.
The Mortal Kombat reboot will release in theaters on March 5th, 2021.
