Capcom brought out the big guns in the latest Nintendo Mini Direct and revealed not only the latest mainline Monster Hunter game, but a variety of other titles to add said franchise’s legacy. In one of Capcom’s latest RPG adventures – Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin – players assume the role of a Monster Rider who can form bonds with monsters. Experience a new adventure full of likeable characters, adventure, and friendship. Check out the trailer below:

“Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin offers both RPG and Monster Hunter fans a unique new experience with a rich storyline featuring charming characters, challenging quests and friendly encounters with familiar monsters from the Monster Hunter series,” the official Nintendo listing described Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. “Assuming the role of a young Monster Rider who can use a Kinship Stone to form strong bonds with monsters, players can gain experience and improve their skills to form deeper connections with these wonderful creatures. When ready, players can embark on memorable adventures filled with dramatic events and heartwarming friendships as the epic tale unfolds.”

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it’s expected to launch sometime in Summer 2021. Here are a few gorgeous screenshots of in-game footage:
