Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Placed Garbage Throughout Night City By Hand (VIDEO)

Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED

Night City Wire Episode 3 provided plenty of information for fans to get excited about. We learned about the gangs in Night City as well as the city itself, but also learned about just how immersive the experience is going to be in Cyberpunk 2077.

During the recent episode of Night City Wire, senior level designer Miles Tost discussed the amount of detail the dev team has been pouring into Cyberpunk 2077, especially when it comes to making sure Night City remains just as important of a character as the people in it. Tost even noted how they have been placing garbage by hand around the city they designed. You can check it out in the video below at the 8:31 minute mark:

“Oh, yes,” Tost said when asked about the devs placing garbage by hand in Cyberpunk 2077. “We’ve been placing quite a bit of rubbish, and that’s certainly one of the more glorious parts of being a level designer or an environment artist, where you get to litter the streets that you’ve spent time building with the garbage.” Tost mentions how it is this sort of detail that really makes Night City feel alive, which will ultimately make the experience more immersive for players. If more hand-placed trash equals more immersion, by all means, add all the trash.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development and set to officially launch on November 19th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
