Have you ever thought about getting into voice-acting, but weren’t sure how to get a foot in? For those aspiring voice actors out there, with a relatively good microphone – you might be in luck. A mod creator, who goes by the name of DJ Red Rad, is recruiting voice actors for a large-scale project for Skyrim called ‘The Forbidden Island.’ Not many details have been disclosed regarding the premise or plot, but the main theme is the fact that it’s set on a large, tropical island.

Recently, DJ Red Rad scrapped the early development pieces of The Forbidden Island, decideding that starting from scratch would be a better direction for him and his team. In a blog post, the developer addressed the BETA release and upcoming plans:

This [link] is the BETA version of the Forbidden Island, I was just going to bunk this mod and trash it, but I decided to share it with you guys instead. I’m starting the Forbidden Island all over again from scratch.

In a recruitment message sent out to those interested, DJ Red Rad mentions that the mod has been in development for over a year now. Having taken 5 years to learn, he felt that it was time to take on something bigger. This isn’t his first time creating content for lovers of Skyrim, either. With 15 other projects in his resume, DJ Red Rad is certainly not new to the scene.

I want to thank everyone that is interested in creating something truly epic for the community to enjoy. I look forward to working with you. Voice actors can send their samples to [email protected]. I will work personally with every voice actor, to figure out which role suits you best.”
