It was revealed yesterday that Star Wars star Oscar Isaac wants to take the lead in a Metal Gear Solid movie as Solid Snake. However, this came after the wickedly talented BossLogic created a mock movie poster for said film last year with Isaac in the lead role. Fast forward to the present and it appears that the mock poster was the idea of Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the director of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie.

Caught up to speed? Awesome. Before we go any further, however, let’s take a look at that glorious poster showing Isaac as Solid Snake:

After it became known that Isaac was interested in playing Snake in a Metal Gear Solid movie, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts shared a screenshot of a conversation between him and none other than BossLogic. Most of it has been redacted by the director, but the general tone is that he was curious to see what Isaac would look like as Snake. Take a look below:

As Vogt-Roberts stated, “The ball’s in Oscar’s court.” This would imply that there is a real possibility we’ll be seeing Isaac step into the boots of Solid Snake on the big screen. Of course, as the director noted, that process hasn’t really begun yet, but we can dream.
