Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster Possibly Teased By BioWare
The current generation of video game consoles has brought many wonderful new games into people’s homes, but many have also found great enjoyment by re-experiencing many beloved pre-existing titles. Given their ease of development and limited backwards compatibility on current consoles, remasters of games from previous generations like Grand Theft Auto and the Uncharted trilogy have been quite popular, with even the likes of classic trilogies such as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon receiving full-on remakes. One trilogy that numerous fans have clamored for has been the Mass Effect trilogy, and now it seems that BioWare may be hinting at a Mass Effect trilogy remaster being in the works.

BioWare recently released a new post on their official Twitter account that many have been led to believe may be a teaser for a Mass Effect trilogy remaster. The post contains a video showing the opening text from the first Mass Effect, which then cuts to the original logo and displays the first game’s box art while the game’s music plays. The post’s text also includes the hashtag #MassRelays, which has not trended or appeared in any Mass Effect-related posts before.
Many Mass Effect fans have requested a remaster of the original trilogy for current gen, (or maybe even next gen) devices, and given the less than stellar reception for Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem, BioWare could score some much needed brownie points with their fan base for doing this. BioWare has promised that they are not finished with Mass Effect as a property, and sometimes, it makes sense to look to the past in order to create a brighter future. Hopefully that future has more Garrus in it.
