See the Incredible New Mario Kart VR Coming to Japanese Arcades (VIDEO)
A new arcade game is coming to Japan in the near future and, needless to say, we couldn’t be more jealous! Mario Kart VR (Virtual Reality) is currently in the works for release at Bandai Namco VR Zone Arcades in Tokyo later this month with a new video cropping up online to showcase the incredible new release. Check out the video below to see this new perspective on an old classic:
The original video was uploaded by NintendoEverything and reveals that the arcade version of this classic title puts players directly in the seat of the kart for some incredible racing action. The new first person perspective makes the game much more intense, as obstacles and enemies come crashing down on the player from all sides.
Reportedly, the game is made possible by using the HTC Vive headset for this up close and personal experience on these beloved tracks we’ve all played on our home consoles. So far, it seems that Mario Kart VR will only be coming to Japanese arcades, though there are Bandai Namco VR arcades posted in London. Perhaps, after a time, the VR arcades title will begin to make its rounds in other parts of the world.
