The Little Acre – An Upcoming Adorable Yet Touching Indie Game (VIDEO)

When it comes to video games, digital rendering and computer generated graphics are obviously the spice of life. While there is so much a game developer can do with a computer and a slew of coding to create life-like imagery for the gamer, there’s something to be said about putting in the time and effort to hand-draw the story, frame by frame. There aren’t many titles that can make that claim to fame, and one developer, Pewter Games, has just taken their place among those few and far between titles to create an adorable, yet heart-felt title called The Little Acre.

The Little Acre

Set in Ireland in the 1950’s, this title takes on the 90’s trope of escapism, thrusting the main characters from their mundane world into a more fantastical realm for an in-depth story experience. The Little Acre is a point-and-click adventure coming to PC and Xbox One, on December 13th, 2016. Take a look at the video below to see what the developers have in store for us:

Taking on a Disney-esque approach, this story will involve plenty of puzzles for the gamers to try and solve as they navigate their way through the human and fantasy realms involved in the story. Pewter Games definitely has a leg-up on the competition with this game, considering their executive producer is the creator of the Broken Sword series, Charles Cecil.

The Little Acre recently earned their place on Steam Greenlight, which means there are a ton of gamers out there looking forward to a chance to play this title for themselves. Even anticipated games like Make Sail and Project Wight haven’t had that honor yet, which means Pewter Games has hit the jackpot in developing a title that will stick with us for years to come. Check out their discussions to see exactly how hyped up everyone is for the developers to release this cute little title for everyone’s enjoyment!

Indie games have always held high regard for many avid gamers, and The Little Acre is definitely proving to be a charming title that many are excited for a chance to play.
