Beautiful Physics-Based Game ‘Make Sail’ is Setting Sale – Officially Funded (VIDEO)

If you’re a fan of physics based gaming, you’ll want to hang onto your seats because a new indie title is coming out just for you. Make Sail is a physics construction adventure, where you build and sail ships through all stretches of treacherous waters in order to become the greatest sailor of your people.

The game production was crowdfunded on Fig , surpassing its goal of $50,000 just in the nick of time. The campaign has ended, so no more investments can be made on the game’s production at this time. However, you can still show your support by sharing the title with friends and family, and getting in on the action when the game finally releases.

Make Sail

Popcannibal (the creators of Elegy for a Dead World) promises to deliver a phenomenal, dreamy -and sexy, in their own words- experience for its players. With a hand-drawn art style that gives the game a comforting feel, the game offers up a relaxing, brain bending experience that is quite remarkable. You play as a young sailor, given barely enough supplies to traverse the stretch of ocean from one island to another. Along the way, you will have to navigate straits, waves, rocks, and even monsters to trip your way to the next island in order to find supplies to make your ship, stronger, faster, and more durable as your journey grows increasingly more difficult.

So far there’s no word on when this game will release, though from the look of it, the creators are hard at work to finish production so gamers can get their hands on it soon . While you wait for word on when this masterpiece will be released, watch the teaser trailer below and get a feel of exactly how fluid and crafty Make Sail appears to be:

This isn’t the only Indie title to make waves in the crowdfunding arena. Recently, Kickstarter ran a successful funding project for Lost Ember,  a new 3D platform game based in a fictional Mesoamerican ruin. This game’s successful fundraising proves that gamers of every kind are excited for fresh content, which gives Make Sail a very good chance at being a smash-hit. Wherever the future of gaming goes, it appears that independently conceived, crowdfunded titles are a growing venue for many creative minds to get in on the action and share their work with the world.
