Listen to the Full Assassin’s Creed Motion Picture Soundtrack Right Here
Does anyone remember an early trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie, that featured Kanye West’s “I Am a God“? It wasn’t the most suitable track selection for a video game series that takes the player on a historically vast journey. West’s song didn’t fit the pace of the trailer nor the theme that it sets. Instead, Jed Kurzel takes the reigns and the before-mentioned artist is nowhere to be found.
The original soundtrack of the games were epic. Take Assassin’s Creed 2 “Ezio’s Family” and Brotherhood’s “City of Rome”, for example. Those tracks would have made great cameos in the trailer, but I digress. It’s time to move on. Even if it isn’t Jesper Kyd this time around, it’s a grand thing that Kurzel decided to take over for the original motion picture score. The songs certainly don’t stray too far away to remind you of the video games. You can listen to the album, below:
Does the name sound familiar? Kurzel’s brother Justin is the director of the film. Dynamic brotherly duo! Kurzel also composed the scores for “Macbeth” (2015), and “Slow West” (2015). Michael Fassbender will star in this film, well-known for his role in films such as the X-Men series as Magneto, Inglourious Basterds, 12 Years a Slave, and Steve Jobs. His name has been on the high rise in the past few years.
What do you think of Jed Kurzel’s take on for composing the Assassin’s Creed movie? What do you think of Fassbender as the main character? As always, leave a comment below and follow us on Twitter for all the gaming news as it happens!
