League Of Legends: Wild Rift Reportedly Coming To Nintendo Switch

Just a few days ago, League of Legends developer Riot Games decided to put some meaning behind the ‘s’ at the end of its name by announcing its console and mobile device spin-off, League of Legends: Wild Rift. Completely built from the ground up, the spin-off is touted as offering the same League experience fans have come to know and love (or hate) from the PC version. While initially announced for consoles and mobile devices, it wasn’t actually stated which consoles the game would be coming to. That said, a new report suggests that Wild Rift will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The news comes by way of a recent set of job listings by Riot Games, some of which are specifically for League of Legends: Wild Rift. Some of the listings are seeking out those with experience with multiple platforms, with the Switch being mentioned alongside the PS4 and Xbox One. Here are a few of the listings:

  • Senior Software Engineers (League of Legends: Wild Rift) – Experience shipping cross platform console games (XBox, PS, Switch)
  • Software Architect – Experience and understanding with two or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Windows OS (desktop), iOS or Android OS (mobile), XB1, PS4, Nintendo Switch (console).
  • Quality Assurance Lead – Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Windows OS. (desktop), iOS or Android OS (mobile), XB1, PS4, Nintendo Switch (console)

League of Legends: Wild Rift is currently in development for unspecified consoles and mobile devices.
