The Last Of Us Part 2’s Laura Bailey Wraps Her Performance Capture Work On The Game
There hasn’t been much news coming out of The Last of Us Part 2 camp as of late, save for the recently revealed casting of rapper Logic as one of the Naughty Dog game’s characters. Now, it appears we have another pseudo development update thanks to a shoutout by the game’s creative director on Instagram.
Neil Druckmann recently took to Instagram to congratulate performance capture actor Laura Bailey on having officially wrapped her work on the game. While we admittedly don’t know who Bailey’s assigned character was, Druckmann did thank her for helping to bring one of his “favorite characters” to life, so chances are said character is a major one, perhaps Ellie herself. This certainly isn’t Bailey’s first rodeo, as she is also known from playing as Rise Kujikawak in Persona 4 as well as Lucina in Fire Emblem Awakening. Bailey has also worked with with Naughty Dog in the past, having played Nadine Ross in Uncharted 4.
As previously mentioned, we’ve not heard much news from Naughty Dog about the development progress on The Last of Us Part 2, though it must be going fairly smoothly if Bailey is officially done with her work on the game. Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too much longer for new footage.
The Last of Us Part 2 is expected to release at some point in the future, possibly in 2019.
