L.A. Noire Exceeds Nintendo Switch Storage Requirements

Nintendo Switch Storage Requirements

L.A. Noire is coming to the Nintendo Switch soon giving players on the console a chance to play the classic mystery title on a new platform. While players using the game’s cartridge will find no issues downloading the title, players who decide to download the game via eShop will run into a snag. Downloading the game digitally runs into the issue of not fitting within the Nintendo Switch storage requirements, requiring players to seek out help from outside sources.

Nintendo Switch Storage Requirements

Rockstar Games has confirmed the file sizes for the game with the physical cartridge version of the game requiring a “14 GB digital download containing required gameplay data as well as general bug fixes and improvements.” The digital version will require a 29 GB download, which conflicts with the console’s 32 GB storage capacity. If it was just the game, there would be plenty of room however the console’s operating system has a file size of 6 GB leaving 26 GB of available data. In order to get around this, players will need to get themselves a MicroSD card with a read speed of 60 MB/sec.

L.A. Noire is available on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The title will be re-released on November 14th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and HTC Vive.
