Kingdom Hearts III Receives a New Trailer – No Release Date Announced Yet (VIDEO)
It has been quite some time since any word has been mentioned about Kingdom Hearts III. In fact, it has been four years since the title was announced, and two years since the last trailer was released. Fans have been on the edges of their seats since E3 in 2015, but nothing has arrived. That is, of course, until today.
During the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour in Los Angeles, Square Enix was kind enough to release a new trailer for the highly anticipated game. Two and a half minutes of in-game footage is compiled to keep the hype train rolling at full steam. While it’s great to see Sora, Donald Duck, Kairi, and the rest of the gang back together again, it has still been over 10 years since the release of the second installment in the franchise, and the new trailer doesn’t provide a whole lot of substance. Check it out for yourself:
Unfortunately, it would appear that this trailer is actually the teaser for, wait for it… another trailer. At the end of the video above, it says, “Join us next month at D23 Expo 2017 as we proudly present a NEW WORLD and NEW TRAILER! July 15, 2017.” For those not in the know, the D23 Expo is the extravaganza for the official Disney Fan Club. Although the new Kingdom Hearts III trailer is lacking in some areas, it certainly gives fans a great look at the gameplay. It also came with the following description:
In this action-packed trailer, Sora, Donald, and Goofy help Hercules battle various forms of Heartless on Mount Olympus through gorgeous visuals and gameplay.”
No release date has been given, but when it does arrive, the game will be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. What say you, gamers?
