Xbox One S to Receive $50 Price Cut Upon Project Scorpio Reveal

Xbox One S

It’s usually when new consoles arrive that gamers get a chance to pick up the predecessors at a cheaper price. However, in celebration of the reveal of Microsoft’s long-awaited Project Scorpio, they have decided to reward fans with a price cut on their most recent system. The Xbox One S will be dropping $50 from its price tag beginning June 11. Unfortunately, this comes with a few caveats, the first of which is that it is only available for a limited time.

One week is all players will have to pick up the Xbox One S at $50 less than its normal price. This is where the second condition comes in. The discount won’t be applicable towards the standalone system. It will only be available for specific bundles, including the Battlefield 1 (1TB) and Gears of War 4 (2TB) variants. This deal will not apply to all bundles, of course – the Minecraft (500GB) bundle doesn’t seem to be affected by the discount. Don’t let this discourage you, however, for there are plenty of Xbox One S pairings to enjoy at a lower price. All of them can be seen right here.

It is expected that fans will learn everything there is to know about Project Scorpio, including pricing, name, final design, and games, all during Microsoft’s presentation at E3. Their conference is scheduled for 2 PM PT / 5 PM EST on June 11, and it can be streamed right here. Don’t Feed the Gamers currently has boots on the ground in Los Angeles, so be sure to stay tuned for the hottest news coming out of the expo.

What say you, gamers? Does the price drop on the Xbox One S sound appealing, or will you be holding out hope for Project Scorpio? Are you disappointed that it will only be for one week?
