Kingdom Hearts 3 Debuts New Trailer, Gorgeous Box Art (VIDEO
Those looking forward to the long-anticipated release of Kingdom Hearts 3 have a lot to be thankful for today, as Square Enix has released a double helping of new content for fans to pore over. The Japanese publisher released a massive new trailer for the game, half of which takes place almost entirely in the world of Big Hero 6. Check out the new trailer below:
Seen above, the first half of the trailer features loads of new gameplay footage of Sora and Baymax battling their way through the streets of San Fransokyo. In addition to the collaborative fighting moves seen between Sora and Baymax, the trailer also shows off a few of the mini-games fans can look forward to, which includes Sora skateboarding on the highway collecting points and flying through the air, aiming in between rings to gather up even more points. Fans are also given glimpses of the Tangled, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Frozen worlds, before the trailer cuts away to show Sora seemingly taking a selfie with a Heartless.
In addition to the new trailer, Square Enix has also unveiled the official cover art of Kingdom Hearts 3, created by series director Tetsuya Nomura. Seen above, the artwork is absolutely stunning, featuring most of the iconic characters from the series against the backdrop of a beautiful sky. Given how long it’s been since Kingdom Hearts 2, finally receiving the official box art for what will be the Sora’s final outing has the potential of bringing out some interesting feels. Here’s hoping that the full game will do the box art justice.
Kingdom Hearts 3 arrives on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29th, 2019.
