Square Enix has been on a bit of a Nintendo Switch streak lately, announcing a landslide of Final Fantasy titles being ported over. Next week, in fact, marks the release of “The World Ends With You: Final Remix”. This begs the question as to whether or not the company plans to bring Kingdom Hearts 3 to the console.

Kingdom Hearts 3 arrives next year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, however, a report on Resetera that features YouTuber Dreamcastguy, suggests the publisher is interested in bringing the title to the Switch. Check out the video yourself below:

As seen above, Dreamcastguy gets into how Square Enix is “heavily considering” bringing Kingdom Hearts 3 to the Switch. At this time, we’re looking at an unconfirmed rumor from a single source. There hasn’t yet been confirmation from anyone at the publisher, anonymous or otherwise that the company is truly considering this. A fan can dream though.

Some concerns come into play with this rumor, as some suggest that Kingdom Hearts 3 is already pushing Xbox One and PS4 to its limit with scope and graphics. Porting to the Switch could prove problematic, but moving the title over to Nintendo would allow more access and mobility fans couldn’t get elsewhere. For now, it’s a game of wait and see, but the thought is certainly a nice one.
