Kingdom Hearts 3 Intro Song Will Feature Skrillex and Utada Hikaru Collaboration

Kingdom Hearts 3 Intro Song

Kingdom Hearts 3 is closer to reality than ever, but there still remains months of wait time left before players can clutch the game in their hands. Square Enix has been graceful enough to provide Kingdom Hearts fans with plenty of game footage and Disney worlds appearing in the sequel. They also let fans hear the new Utada Hikaru song that would be heavily utilized in the game, “Don’t Think Twice.” This keeps the tradition of having Utada Hikaru contribute a song to the series, but now it seems that she will bless fans twice, with the newly confirmed Kingdom Hearts 3 intro song.

Square Enix recently announced the new Kingdom Hearts 3 intro song on their official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account. The new song, titled “Face My Fears,” will be a collaboration between series mainstay Utada Hikaru and EDM artist Skrillex, who has apparently been a fan of the series for a while, and even made his own remix of the previously announced Hikaru song “Don’t Think Twice.” Skrillex’s work has also been used for video games before including Uncharted 3 and Far Cry 3.

This song will be special, not only because of its collaborating artists, but also because this will be the first time that a main entry in the series will feature an intro song different from its main featured new song by Utada Hikaru. These multiple songs are a sign that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be the culmination of the series thus far, and it is destined to make its fans feel Simple and Clean when it launches.
