Oftentimes fan-made projects are, unfortunately, terrible. This custom Killing Floor 2 map inspired by a bar from the 2004 game Vampire – The Masquerade: Bloodlines is definitely not one of those projects. Creator Synchaoz took the time to recreate in stunning detail the ‘Club Confession’ level from the game, and it definitely fits right in with the other macabre levels found in the Killing Floor 2 map rotation. Check out the five minute video below to get a glimpse of the action, and make sure the sound is on!

Pretty awesome trailer, right? In itself the guided tour around the map shows us how beautifully detailed the KF-ClubConfession level is, though Synchaoz takes things up a notch with the music selection – a Tears for Fears cover by Scandroid, which just so happens to fit perfectly in sync with gunning down Zeds and blowing up some Quarter Pounds. Possibly the only other element of the trailer that works as spot on as the Scandroid cover does is the tribute to the original Blade movie, which begins almost exactly four minutes in. This part of the Killing Floor 2 map features blood-spraying sprinklers and (of course) the song that played during the iconic club scene in Blade – Confusion, by New Order.

When asked in the YouTube comments how long the project took, Synchaoz revealed that it took him roughly 130 hours including play tests. “I had some pre-built sections (like the vampire tomb and parts of the backstage room) from old map projects that were cancelled, which I was able to copy/paste and just do minor modifications on, which shaved off a handful hours of work.” According to Synchaoz, a few other levels in Vampire – The Masquerade: Bloodlines were at some point going to be added in as side areas, though “due to time and logistics” he stuck with The Confession and expanded it to his own vision. We’re certainly glad he did. Killing Floor 2 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
