Hulu Confirmed To Reboot Animaniacs in November 2020

Hulu has recently confirmed that the Animaniacs reboot they had originally announced earlier this year for a two season run will be released just a few months way in November of this year. Without question Animaniacs was one of the most popular childhood cartoons, with it’s slapstick humor and catchphrases (Can I get a “Hellooooooo Nurse”?) and it’s just one of the many childhood cartoons coming back to us with open arms.

Animaniacs was originally released in September of 1993 and followed the trio of siblings Yakko, Wakko and Dot as well as a slew of other characters such as Pinky and the Brain, Slappy and Skippy Squirrel and The Goodfeathers. Yakko, Wakko and Dot were locked away in the Warner Bros. tower until they escaped in the 90’s. The show also had Steven Spielberg at the helm as executive producer and lasted a total of five seasons with it’s final episode airing in November, 1998.

The Animaniacs Reboot will premiere it’s 13 episode season on November 20th on Hulu with it’s second season already planned to release some time in 2021. It seems that most of the original voice cast will also return to replay the characters they initially voiced. Pinky and the Brain are set to appear on the new seasons as well, so we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief that our two little rodent friends will be back to take over the world.

Steven Spielberg will also be back to executive produce the series alongside Amblin TV co-presidents Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank as well as Warner Brothers Animation president Sam Register.
