The House Abandon Gets Three More Stranger Things Inspired Episodes in Stories Untold
For those unfamiliar, The House Abandon is an indie game created by Jon McKellan (the designer behind Alien: Isolation) and puts the players at the hub of a computer playing a text based game. The 80’s aesthetic and horror setting are similar to that of the Netflix Original Series Stranger Things, and though a short game – it has received rave reviews from those who have played it for its surprising twists. It is no surprise then that the game would enjoy three new installments in a collection called Stories Untold.
Released last year, The House Abandon has since been remastered and repackaged with the Stories Untold collection. The three episodes and the remaster will be published by Developer Digital. As you can see in the video below, the game bears striking similarities to Stranger Things.
As if the aesthetic wasn’t enough, the game also has a poster out that was created by Kyle Lambert. Lambert was responsible for the creation of the 80’s style poster for Stranger Things. The similarities in the detail definitely show and it certainly makes for an exciting prospect.
All four episodes were made by indie team No Code. The team of six is based out of Glasgow, Scotland includes Jon McKellan, Omar Khan, Geoff Angus, Graeme McKellan, Lee McKellan and Jack Perry. The team is close-knit, many of them family, who are clearly dedicated to creating interesting games.
Though there are little details on what the games new additions might be about, Stories Untold is set to launch February 27th on Steam. The game is priced at $4.99 and looks pretty promising to us. If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, or just love the 80’s aesthetic, this may just be the game for you!
