Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel Hinted At In New Job Listing

It looks like the rumor mill for a potential Horizon Zero Dawn sequel has once again begun to swirl. Earlier this year, the award-winning Guerrilla Games’ title was officially announced for Steam, slated to arrive this summer. Now, a new job listing is once again pointing towards a sequel for the game having already entered development.

The news comes by way of Prima Games, which reported that a new job listing for a Lead Creature Animator was discovered on the Guerrilla Games website that strongly hints at a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. The job listing does not specifically mention the game by name, though it does speak at length about a need to create “engaging creature for our compelling gameplay,” something the original game had plenty of. “As the Lead Creature Animator, you will set the bar and ensure that the animation output of our internal animation team continues to meet Guerrilla’s high standards,” the job listing reads.

You will give your team the guidance and context needed in order to create real-time animalistic movement with a focus on quality and realism, while collaborating with game designers and programmers to fulfill tasks according to the production plan.”

The job listing could of course technically be for a new project, though given that Aloy actress Janina Gavankar admitted last year that a sequel was in the works, chances are high that the listing is in fact referring to Horizon Zero Dawn 2. Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too much longer for an official announcement!
