Horizon Zero Dawn Pops Announced – Five Figures Set For A Fall Release!
The PlayStation 4 exclusive title Horizon Zero Dawn immediately met with outstanding praise for its innovative narrative, strong (and diverse) characters, and enjoyable gameplay mechanics. We even gave it a perfect score here at DFTG, which almost never happens. With the recent release date set for the upcoming DLC for the beloved game, it’s only right that fans can celebrate a little bit before they jump back into the boots of Aloy. What better way to do so than with new Horizon Zero Dawn pops from Funko!
The figures themselves are expected to drop sometime in October, though no set release date has been given. The yellow version of the Watcher on the right is also a Best Buy exclusive, so for those 100% completionists out there, a few stops will need to be made.
In case you’re not familiar with the wonderful story that Horizon Zero Dawn gave players, the story itself centers around Aloy, an outcast from her tribe born “motherless”, forced to survive on the outskirts of society with the help of her mentor, Rost. Through hard training, dedication, and a spirit that couldn’t be killed, Aloy honed her skills as a hunter and a fighter to prove to the tribe once and for all that she had an earned place among them. After showcasing her worth in what is called a “proving”, the mysteries surrounding her birth and the nature of the world begin to shift and reveal themselves. Not everything is as it appears, and the journey to discovering who she is and how their world works is a wild ride that any role-playing game fan will enjoy.
The latest in Funko collectibles can always be pre-ordered through their website, however other retailers (GameStop, Best Buy, and more) allow for pre-purchasing as well.
